First and foremost, I want to say thank you for all of the membership support I received during the
General Election in the summer. Together we managed to secure a fantastic result for our new
association and our great new constituency of Maidstone & Malling. Whether it was by delivering
leaflets, canvassing voters, sharing content on social media, addressing envelopes or assisting with
clerical tasks, our result would not have been possible without the help of everyone who was a part
of the campaign.
Unfortunately, after four successive administrations, our Party was unable to make it a record fifth in
a row. We have now seen the damage a Labour government can cause, even in their first 100 days;
releasing thousands of prisoners onto our streets and scrapping the Winter Fuel Payments for many
pensioners - just part of a widely lambasted inaugural budget.
The good news is that we have a new and immensely capable leader in Kemi Badenoch. Her mission
is to renew our party and our politics, and restore the trust and confidence people need to bring us
back to Government. So we have a big job on our hands, and your views are needed. I would
